Domain Name Transfer to Our System
Step 1: Verify Eligibility for Transfer
- Before initiating the transfer, ensure that the domain name is eligible for transfer. This typically means:
- The domain has been registered with the current registrar for at least 60 days.- The domain is not within 60 days of renewal or was not recently renewed within the last 45 days.
- The domain is unlocked at the current registrar.
Step 2: Prepare for Transfer
- Unlock the Domain: Log in to your current registrar’s control panel and unlock your domain.
- Obtain the EPP Code: Also known as the Authorization Code, this is required to proceed with the transfer. You should be able to get this from your current registrar’s dashboard.- Verify Admin Contact Information: Ensure that your administrative contact details are up-to-date because the transfer approval email will be sent to this email address.
Step 3: Initiate Transfer with Us
- Submit a Transfer Request Ticket: Go to the client portal to create a ticket. You will need to list your domain name and the EPP code obtained from your previous registrar.
Step 4: Approve the Transfer
- Pay the domain name transfer invoice
- Respond to Confirmation Email: You will receive a confirmation email to the admin contact email address. Follow the instructions in the email to approve the transfer.- Check with Old Registrar: Some registrars may require you to approve the transfer on their platform as well. Please check your email for any communication from them.
Step 5: Transfer Completion
- Wait for the Transfer to Complete: Domain transfers typically take between 5 to 7 days to complete. During this time, keep an eye on your email for any further instructions or notifications.- Confirmation of Transfer: Once the transfer is complete, you will receive a confirmation from us. Your domain will now be managed through our web hosting service.
